Wellcare Medicare Advantage Plans for 2027 in Volusia and Flagler

Quick answer: For 2027, Wellcare offers two kinds of $0 premium HMO-POS plans in our area. Wellcare Giveback lowers your Part B premium by $94 a month in Volusia and Brevard, or $74 in Flagler. Wellcare Simple has a lower out-of-pocket limit: $3,000 in Volusia and $2,500 in Flagler. Wellcare doesn’t sell Medicare Supplement plans, but we can compare Supplements from other carriers alongside it.

Wellcare is Centene’s Medicare brand. Its 2027 lineup here is simple: one plan that puts money back in your Social Security check, and one plan that keeps your out-of-pocket costs low. The catch is that the numbers change at the county line, so a Flagler plan isn’t the same as a Volusia plan.

Giveback or Simple?

It comes down to how you use care. If you rarely see specialists and want the Part B reduction, Giveback puts that money back in your Social Security check every month, but its out-of-pocket limit is $7,200. If you see specialists regularly or have a procedure coming up, Simple’s lower limit can protect you more. In Flagler, Simple even lists a $0 specialist copay and a Wellcare Spendables card loaded with $20 a month for eligible items such as OTC products.

What HMO-POS means

Both plans are HMO-POS plans. You choose a primary care doctor and use the network for most care. The point-of-service piece adds some out-of-network coverage for certain services, such as routine dental, per the Summary of Benefits.

Special Needs Plans: Wellcare also offers Sunshine Health Dual Align and Dual Access plans (D-SNP) for people who have both Medicare and Florida Medicaid. We’ll check which Medicaid level you qualify for.

Brevard County: Brevard residents get the same Wellcare Giveback (H1032-193) and Wellcare Simple (H1032-194) plans as Volusia. Call us for a side-by-side comparison with other Brevard options.

Medicare Supplements and Part D with Wellcare

Wellcare doesn’t sell Medicare Supplement plans. If you’d rather have Original Medicare with a Supplement, we can quote Supplements from carriers we’re appointed with, such as Florida Blue, Aetna and AARP/UnitedHealthcare, and pair one with a Wellcare stand-alone drug plan like Wellcare Classic or Value Script. See our Part D page and Medicare Supplement guide.

Your doctor matters. We’ll help with the switch

Because Wellcare plans are HMO-POS plans, your doctor needs to be in network. If you like what Wellcare offers but your doctor isn’t in its network, we can help. We have relationships with several doctors’ offices in the area, and we’ll help place you with a new provider who accepts the plan and make a warm introduction for you.
