Quick answer: For 2027, Aetna offers one HMO (Medicare Select) and a group of PPOs in Volusia and Flagler, including Eagle Giveback, which reduces your Part B premium by $120 a month and doesn’t include drug coverage. Aetna is part of CVS Health, and many of its 2027 plans add a CVS Over-the-Counter Wallet on the Aetna Medicare Extra Benefits Card. The trick with Aetna this year is that the plans look alike at first glance, with mostly $0 premiums and the same drug deductible, but the specialist copays and dental allowances are quite different. Here’s what the 2027 Summaries of Benefits show for Volusia and Flagler.

The HMO stands out on costs

Medicare Select is the only Aetna HMO here. It has the lowest out-of-pocket limit in Aetna’s lineup, the lowest specialist copay, and a $200 drug deductible instead of $700. The trade-off is that you choose a primary care doctor and stay in network.

PPOs: same base, different extras

The four Part D PPOs all let you see out-of-network providers, but the specialist copay ranges from $50 to $75 and the dental allowance ranges from preventive-only to $1,750 a year. Premier charges $100 a month and has the lowest PPO specialist copay. If dental work is on your list for 2027, the dental allowance may matter more than the premium.

Eagle Giveback: a Part B reduction without drug coverage

Eagle Giveback lowers your Part B premium by $120 a month and adds a $60-per-quarter OTC allowance, but it has no Part D. It’s usually a fit for people who get prescriptions through the VA or other creditable coverage.

Special Needs Plans: Aetna also offers Partial Dual Select and Full Dual Select (HMO D-SNP) for people with both Medicare and Medicaid, and Chronic Care (HMO C-SNP) for qualifying chronic conditions, in Volusia and Flagler.

Brevard County: Aetna’s Brevard lineup is much smaller. The 2027 CMS data shows Aetna Medicare Signature (PPO) H5521-433 for Brevard. Call us to compare it with other Brevard options.

Aetna Medicare Supplement plans in Florida

Aetna also sells Medicare Supplement plans in Florida, and we’re appointed to offer them. A Supplement works with Original Medicare, so there are no networks and you can see any provider who accepts Medicare. You’d add a separate Part D plan; Aetna’s stand-alone option is SilverScript Choice (PDP). We quote Supplements individually because rates depend on your age, ZIP code and tobacco use. If your Medicare Advantage plan is ending, you may have a guaranteed issue right to buy a Supplement without health questions.
