Quick answer: For 2027, UnitedHealthcare offers AARP Medicare Advantage HMO-POS and PPO plans in Volusia and Flagler, including a giveback plan worth up to $150 a month and a CareFlex plan with a $400-per-quarter credit toward your costs. UnitedHealthcare also sells AARP Medicare Supplement plans and ACA individual plans. We’re appointed for all three.
UnitedHealthcare carries the AARP name on its Medicare plans, which is why people often ask whether they need to be AARP members. For Medicare Advantage, you don’t. For AARP Medicare Supplement plans, AARP membership is required. Here’s the 2027 lineup for our area.

The CareFlex plan includes a $400 credit every quarter that you can use toward your own costs, such as hospital stays, specialist visits, emergency and urgent care, imaging, therapy and Part B drugs at non-retail settings. It’s a different way to lower your out-of-pocket costs than a lower copay, and it’s worth running your actual doctor visits through it.
The giveback plan reduces your Part B premium by up to $150 a month. The trade-off, per the 2027 Summary of Benefits, is a $500 medical deductible before most services are covered.
UHC’s 2027 Summaries list $0 for preventive dental (exams, X-rays, cleanings and fluoride) with no annual deductible, and FL-0005 adds a $200 eyewear allowance every two years. Comprehensive dental limits vary by plan, so check the Evidence of Coverage or ask us.
Special Needs Plans: UHC Dual Complete plans serve people with Medicare and Medicaid, UHC Complete Care FL-14 (C-SNP) serves people with qualifying chronic conditions, and the UHC Nursing Home Plan serves facility residents. We’ll check whether you qualify.
Brevard County: Brevard has its own UHC versions, including AARP Medicare Advantage from UHC FL-0007 (HMO-POS) H1045-030 with a $3,900 out-of-pocket limit, CareFlex FL-39 and the FL-0018 PPO. The Giveback FL-40 plan covers Brevard as well.
AARP Medicare Supplement plans are insured by UnitedHealthcare, and we’re appointed to offer them. They require AARP membership. Because a Supplement doesn’t include drug coverage, you’d pair it with a Part D plan, such as AARP Medicare Rx Saver or Rx Preferred. We quote Supplements one-on-one instead of posting rates.
