Quick answer: For 2027, Health First is narrowing its Medicare Advantage service area to four counties: Brevard, Indian River, Volusia and Flagler. In Volusia and Flagler, it offers SunSaver (HMO), Emerald Plus (HMO), which gives back up to $127 a month on Part B, and Premier Access (HMO-POS). Health First also sells ACA individual and family plans in Volusia. We’re appointed with Health First for both.
Health First is a Brevard-based health system with its own health plan, and it’s one of the few truly local names in our market. For 2027, it’s pulling its Medicare Advantage plans back to its home region. If you live in Volusia or Flagler, Health First is still here. If you live in a county it’s leaving, read our Health First 2027 changes article and what to do when your plan is leaving.

The two HMOs share the same $0 premium, $0 PCP copay and $700 drug deductible on tiers 3-5. SunSaver has the lower out-of-pocket limit and specialist copay, plus a preloaded $650 dental debit card on top of the $1,000 dental allowance. Emerald Plus trades a little of that for a Part B giveback of up to $127 a month.
Premier Access, formerly called Easy Access, is the Health First plan with some out-of-network flexibility. We’ll go over its 2027 benefits with you once the plan documents are available.
Brevard County: Brevard has its own Health First lineup: Classic (HMO-POS) H1099-001, Value (HMO) H1099-006, Rewards (HMO) H1099-014, and Secure (HMO) H1099-009, which has no Part D. Premiums run from $0 to $90 a month, according to CMS 2027 data. Call us to compare them for your ZIP code.
